Energy As Medicine – Animals Lead the Way

It’s an amazing thing, really, to share Reiki with an animal.  Everyone at least once in their lifetime should have the experience.  Once the physical connection is made between the animal receiving and the human offering (key words – receiving and offering) the Reiki there is an immediate response on the part of the animal.  They become quiet and still and if it’s their first time receiving Reiki they may turn their head around to look at the human as if to say “well now – this is new!”

The effects of canine massage mirror those of Reiki.  Because the intention behind the human’s touch is much different than an absent-minded pat on the head a similar response from the animal happens.  They become still, quiet, and curious about this wonderful, warm, and relaxing flow of energy from one sentient being to the other.

And although a companion animal’s instant level of comfort upon meeting Lizanne for the first time in person has been surprising to some human guardians Lizanne has worked with in inter-species (animal) communication it’s not to her.  She and the animal have already met before – in energy via intuition and telepathy so their comfort level and relationship with her has already been well established.

These three examples all contain one component – energy.  Specifically, the bio-electric field of energy that each physical body – animal and human alike – possesses.  Sometimes called “ki”, “chi” or “prana” in various cultures it is this very essence of life that is facilitated by an energy medicine practitioner such as Lizanne to bring about self-healing for the sentient being involved.  The tools she uses varies on the situation and can be mixed and matched on so many levels to facilitate self-healing for both animal and human.  Canine massage, for instance, is not just beneficial to the animal especially when the guardian is trained in how to give the massage themselves.  The relationship then between animal companion and human guardian takes on an extra component of actively sharing the heart-centered energy in the physical strokes of the massage resulting in a unique perspective of the animal by the human from a therapeutic standpoint much different than pats on the head.

Inter-species (animal) communication, for instance, brings the higher selves of both animal and human into a shared sacred space where all is laid bare between partners whose very happiness depends in large part upon each other.  Love, compassion, trust, respect and honor flow in abundance as the animal gently and directly reveals the mirror issues that is causing them to raise a red flag via behavior issues.

Reiki becomes an important component of a training situation when the human guardian is battling depression or other emotional issues that interfere with their being an effective pack leader for their animal companion.  The self-healing in this situation by the human has an immediate ripple effect within all of their relationships not the least of which is the one they have with their companion animal.  Reiki for animals allows the animal to transcend even the harshest of conditions such as prior abuse and the ultimate transition to death.

Canine massage is just as beneficial to the human as it is to the animal especially when the guardian is trained in how to give the massage themselves.  The relationship then between animal companion and human guardian takes on an extra component of actively sharing the heart-centered energy in the physical strokes of the massage resulting in a unique perspective of the animal by the human from a therapeutic standpoint much different than pats on the head.

Animals lead the way with all of the energy medicine tools because they are, quite frankly, so much better at both recognizing self-healing energy and utilizing it to the fullest.  They are masterful at living in the moment and so become adept at intuitively sensing the shift in energy that sometimes happens in a second or two.  Humans often have the thinking mind that blocks or disturbs their ability to self-heal and draw in Reiki energy.  There is never any question about an animal being open to receiving Reiki or in their ability to gracefully surrender to the peaceful warmth that is Reiki for as long as their physical body dictates.  They are Lizanne’s heroes – always - in every situation she encounters between animal and human because of their very special gift of facilitating self-healing energy for themselves and the humans they love so well.  We are lucky to share our planet with these species and it is Lizanne's fervent hope that we may learn how to be better stewards of their lives and learn their ways of energy as medicine - it is the way of the future for us all.

Bear and Betsy's Story Betsy, Callie & Bear Bear and Betsy had been the “babies” of our family for several years when I became pregnant with our first child. They came to us from a rescue organization, and we knew very little about their history. However, we had grown to learn they were very uneasy around children, particularly Bear. A friend shared Lizanne’s information with me and suggested she may be able to help. ~ Heather and Blake R., Westminster, CO
Jefferson, Midnight and Pepper's Story Jefferson Things are going extremely well, Jefferson has almost turned into a different cat.  He is actually behaving better than Midnight.  He lets me sleep all night without bothering me. I don’t really pet him anymore because I’m pretty sure Lizanne said he didn’t like it. He seems like he’s finally a happy animal.  I don’t want to say it’s a miracle, but it’s about as close as you can get without someone rising from the dead. ~ Denise C., Chicago, IL
Lewie, Simon and Joy's Stories
Simon Lizanne was an amazing support and resource for us when our Golden, Lewie, was very ill.  She was able to communicate his wishes to us about end of life, how he wanted his sibling Joy to be present along with pictures of Matti who died in July 2010 and Sam who died in 2008. ~ Jim and Marla H., Arvada CO
Isa's Story Lizanne and I met at an open house for a new  canine rehabilitation and training center in Pacifica, CA several years ago.  She was a presenter on animal communication and was also giving private sessions for people and their pets while in town.  I was immediately impressed and attracted to her demeanor, her presentation and her energy that made me want to book a session with my collie, Isa.  When Lizanne arrived at the house, Isa displayed unusual behavior ---- remaining away from us, yet watching intently the whole time Lizanne was there "talking and listening" to her from across the room.  Isa seemed to know this was about her and they communicated quite openly.  I subsequently acted on some of the suggestions Lizanne made regarding information Isa imparted to her in that session that had to do with our rather complex but loving relationship.  Isa responded to the change in me and I felt we had discovered a new level of communication ourselves. - Michele C., San Francisco, CA
Jango's Story Lizanne's communication with our Jango helped us better understand his needs, the complexity of his internal world and how to improve his happiness while maintaining ours! We are so appreciative of the insight she has provided us into the very empathic and sensitive world of our beautiful dog. - Kaneen C., Golden, CO
Jimmy's Story Not only did Lizanne work her incredible magic on my 11 year old Airedale Jimmy, but she also helped our other Airedale Trilby who passed away last year from cancer. Lizanne’s compassion and understanding for animals is so evident in their willingness to trust her with their information that gets pass on to their families. The information I learned from Lizanne was so accurate and helpful. I feel so fortunate and so grateful to her for having had the opportunity to get a glimpse at not only what my canine family needs but also how they think through her amazing gift. - Buffer F., San Francisco, CA
Mirabelle's Story Lizanne arrived to the house amid chaos and wild barking, not from Saucy but from the resident dogs who tend to greet visitors with a lot of fanfare.  I guided the resident dogs into their kennels, but Saucy preferred to pace wildly, in large circles.  Saucy stuck to the upstairs of the home, to the rooms most familiar to her.  After brief introductions, Lizanne immediately got to work: starting the soothing music, centering her mind, and sending calming/positive energy towards Saucy. - Darci K., Westminster, CO
